International Consultant
Philippe Borremans is an international consultant specialising in crisis communication, emergency communication, risk communication, crisis simulations and AI-assisted communication strategy. Over the past 25 years, he has advised governments, international organisations, humanitarian agencies and multinational corporations across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Gulf region and the Caribbean.
His work focuses on helping organisations prepare for, respond to and recover from crises, emergencies, operational disruptions and periods of heightened public scrutiny. Philippe is a Past President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and a member of the Resilience Advisors Network.
The RiskComms Global Outlook is a practitioner-led diagnostic survey built on the Communication Nexus Framework (CNFIP). It measures how prepared organisations are to communicate across the four phases of the framework — Anticipate, Engage, Sustain, and Restore — and generates an immediate Nexus Readiness Score (NRS) on a 0–100 scale.
The survey is designed for risk communication professionals, emergency managers, public health communicators, government spokespersons, humanitarian workers, and senior leaders responsible for crisis messaging. All responses are anonymous. When a statistically meaningful sample is reached, a global benchmark report will be published as an open-access resource for the field.
